About

Recovery is an investment in our own lives.

I facilitate individual, couple, family and group counseling. I have experience in treating addictions of all kinds, trauma, eating disorders, self harm behaviors, depression, anxiety, chronic suicidality, borderline personality disorder and codependency. Whether it is recovery from substances, another addiction, trauma, or mental illness, the work is worth it. No matter what you have been through, the good new is that healing happens in the present, so it's never too late. There is more than one way to heal and recover and what works for one person might not work for another. Collaboratively looking at goals, objectives and interventions is essential in providing individualized care to each and every person I treat. It is your therapy and you get a say in the pace and the approach we take in therapy. I will help to lay out our options. I am a strong advocate for family education and involvement. While someone is healing, their close family and friends would benefit from their own healing. Stress and trauma often "spills over" to those around us when we are struggling. Addressing this can be very helpful in the recovery process for everyone involved. A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I received my Bachelor's degree at Northern University in Psychology. I then received my Master's degree in Clinical Counseling in 2009. I have been practicing since then and have even moved up the ladder in supervisory roles over the years. In the end, I prefer to work directly with clients. When I am not working, I am thoroughly invested in relaxation as often as I can. I enjoy spending time with my family and my 2 cats. I love to be outside in a yard, enjoying the sun and good company. PAYMENTS: I am currently in network with BCBS, Aetna and United Healthcare. I am happy to provide a Superbill if you choose to seek reimbursement for sessions on your own. I also do an out of pocket sliding scale if warranted. Reach out by calling, texting or emailing if you'd like to chat for a few minutes about how I might be able to assist you in your goals. https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/1278735
